We present an easy version of a drink featured on our latest drinks list. This is a large-volume pre-mixed that is loaded with flavours of a holiday season, rendering it perfect for a holiday party. Any leftover cordial to use in brunch beverages, sweets, or to mix additional servings of bikinis.
Bikini
Makes enough for 10 servings
To make the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Cordial: Put the listed items in a pot, bring to a gentle boil, mixing to dissolve. Then, turn off the heat and leave to cool entirely. Transfer into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the fridge, where it will keep for around four weeks.
For the Batch Mix: Combine the specified liquids into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then filter it , ideally through a fine cloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of your cocktail base to a stirring glass containing ice, and stir gently for a minute to cool it down. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries and finish using a quick spritz of mandarin oil above the glass.
